Charles Church
The Karlskirche is not only an outstanding example of baroque architecture, but also an important part of Vienna's cultural landscape. Built between 1716 and 1737, it was planned by the famous architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Particularly noteworthy are the imposing columns, reminiscent of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, and the impressive frescoes depicting the life of Saint Charles Borromeo. You can climb the dome of the church and enjoy a unique view of Vienna from there. The Karlskirche also regularly offers concerts and cultural events that are worth visiting. The adjacent city park also invites you to take a relaxing walk. A visit to the Karlskirche combines architecture, history and culture and is an absolute must for every visitor to Vienna.
