Residence-Wuerzburg
The Würzburg Residence is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most important Baroque buildings in Germany. Planning began in 1720 and construction took several decades. Particularly noteworthy is the magnificent staircase, which immediately captivates visitors. Inside you will find the impressive Imperial Hall with one of the largest ceiling frescoes in the world, created by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo.
The grounds also include a spacious garden that not only invites you to relax, but also offers fantastic views of the old town. The residence was once the residence of the prince-bishops of Würzburg and today offers insights into life and the power structure of the Baroque era.
