Prinsengracht
Prinsengracht is one of the most famous canals in Amsterdam and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historic waterway winds through the city center and offers a unique view of typical Amsterdam architecture. Many of the famous 17th-century houses are located along the Prinsengracht, with their narrow facades and picturesque gables.
A highlight is the Anne Frank House, which is located directly on the Prinsengracht and serves as a memorial to Anne Frank and the history of the Second World War. Here you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the moving story of the Jewish girl.
There are also numerous cafés and restaurants along the waterfront promenade that invite you to linger. In summer you can take boat trips and explore the city from the water. A walk along the Prinsengracht is not only relaxing, but also gives you a deep sense of Amsterdam's history and culture. This makes a visit to the Prinsengracht an absolute must during your stay in the city.
