In the Xi'an region, you can visit the Terracotta Army, a World Heritage Site and one of humanity's greatest archaeological finds. Xi'an was once the capital of the first unified Chinese empire and the end of the famous Silk Road.

The metropolis of Shanghai represents the modern side of China, with futuristic skyscrapers such as the Shanghai Tower and historical sights such as the Yu Garden and the Bund, the old waterfront promenade. The city is a major financial and commercial center and attracts travelers with its vibrant life, diverse shopping opportunities and fine dining.

In southern China, Guilin is famous for its breathtaking karst landscape with unique rock formations rising along the Li River. A river cruise is one of the most popular tourist activities and offers spectacular views.

The Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia, flows through some of China's most beautiful landscapes and offers many attractions such as the Three Gorges and the impressive Three Gorges Dam Project.

To the east lies Hangzhou, famous for West Lake, which is surrounded by picturesque temples, pagodas and tea plantations. The region is a popular destination for tourists wanting to experience traditional Chinese gardening and tea culture.

China also has rich religious and cultural diversity. The Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet's holy city, is a major religious center and offers a unique insight into Tibetan culture and history. The Shaolin Temple in Henan Province, famous for its Kung Fu tradition, is also a fascinating place that many visitors want to experience.

Chinese cuisine is world famous and varies depending on the region. In Beijing you can enjoy the famous Peking duck, while in the Sichuan region, hot, spicy Sichuan cuisine with its chili peppers and peppercorns is popular. Dim sum from Canton and hot pot from Chongqing are also popular specialties.

China's culture is deeply rooted in traditions, from the Dragon Boat Festivals to Chinese New Year, which is celebrated with great festivities around the world. Traditional art forms such as calligraphy, poetry and printmaking are also significant.
